So....

Tomorrow we find out exactly WHEN we will be getting married. We do know that we will have the ceremony at Petra Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids...We just need to find a reception hall. My Mom and I are going to The Great Blue Heron in Cold Spring tomorrow to meet with the events coordinator. The only day they have available is May 30th, 2009. You must have 150 guests...We have approximately 136...So if we cannot have the reception there, our other two options are the Morrill Hall in, of course, Morrill or The Holiday Inn here in St Cloud. I am so excited for tomorrow. Its like its really surreal now. Tomorrow we find out our wedding date!!! I will keep ya'll posted!!! Yay!

We're Engaged!!!

Saturday June 28th, 2008 was the happiest night of our lives. Loren proposed on stage at Dustys where we met a little over a year ago! You can't believe how excited I am!!! There is alot of planning to do but I am excited because it all leads up to the beginning of forever as Mrs. Daak!! Holy Crap I am going to be a Mrs.!

Happy Anniversary!

Loren and I have been together for one year already! Holy Shit! It really has been the best year of my life. I am so thankful that we met that night at Dusty's. I have never been happier. We are made for each other! I love you sweetie! I look forward to many many more years together!

Wow. I really suck at keeping this damn thing updated!
So whats been going on with us??!! Well lets see...I am officially a Government Employee. I started carrying mail as a City Carrier in Willmar on Monday the 12th. I love it. I get a ton of exercise and the pay is great obviously! We still have not found a place to live. Everyday my opinion on moving changes. Part of me doesn't want to move so Loren doesn't have to drive so far. Part of me doesn't want to move because neither want to be far from our parents. He's a Momma's boy. I'm a Daddy's girl! But then part of me wants to get out of this small apartment. Part of me wants to move closer to Willmar so I don't have an hour drive to work every morning! Oh well, we will figure something out!
Loren has got a handle on his problems from the past. All I have to say is, I am so fucking proud of him! And that fat bitch is so screwed. Oh well, to hell with her I say! Loren is doing great. He is being really supportive of me with my new job. He makes supper since I don't get home until late. He does laundry and keeps the house kept up! I love him so much and cant wait to some day be his wife! He is truly the best man alive!
We started softball in April. Our team is pretty bad. We've lost every game so far, but ya know what? I don't care because I still get the work out and its kinda fun. There are some horribly annoying people on the team, but that's ok too. I see them twice a week. I can handle that.
My nephew is due in August. His name is Easton Alexander. I was so excited when my brother told me his name because now he and I will have the same initials! I'm a dork and I think that's great!
Life is great. Loren and I are incredibly happy as always. We have our ups and downs obviously but we talk about everything and never really argue. I'm pretty sure we were made for each other.

God and Life

I received an email from my Aunt Holly the other day with a message in it that got me thinking.
"To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did. When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you."
After I read that I got to thinking(which hurt a little, got a headache from it) and I realized that even if you aren't the most religious person or the most God trusting person, you can still believe in words. Reading it made me realize that people pity themselves too much and dwell in the past too much. Some people need to know that God has a plan for everybody and no matter how bad life hurts and sucks at times, it does and will get better. Now, I am not going to make this a religious banter blog so I am just going to leave it at that!

Lynn reminded me how bad this blog sucks. I would write more, but lets face it guys; we have a BORING life. Seriously, we do. We don't do much. Apparently, overnight we turned into my parents. Oh wait, I take that back. They actually go out and do shit. My parents just got back from Mexico last week. They had a blast. They are 54 years old and have a more active life than we do!! Sad! They have "date days" every week. Once a week, my parents go somewhere together and have fun. Usually its lunch and a movie, or a day trip to the casino. I must admit it, I am jealous. Oh well.
Nothing new at all has happened in the world of hicks. Loren hates his job I guess. I love my job. I want us to find a different place to live. Loren probably doesn't. I need a crock pot, but the 2 of us are too cheap to spend $20 on a new one. The new kitty is doing good. He is kind of a little shit head at times, but so is Buddy, Bubba and Loren so I think I can handle it. I am not sure when my folks are going to take him. I have to get my dad alone and talk to him about it. My mom just doesn't want to vacuum up cat hair. Shes probably too busy going out on "date days" with my dad. Lucky shits.
I went to lunch the other day with an old friend, Susan. I haven't seen her in a months. Well, I haven't really sat down and talked with her in probably over a year. So it was kinda nice to see her. I had forgotten about all the drama in her life, but sure enough, she reminded me all about her shit. Oh well, better her than me!
