Cars and Cats

So...I got in my first and hopefully last car accident on Thursday. It was probably the scariest day of my life! Here's the story: My coworker and I were in Buffalo heading to clean a house. We had NO idea where we were and we had no clue about the roads. As we are driving along, BANG! A Ford Explorer rammed into the back drivers side door and spun us around so the back passenger door hit a pole. My coworker had a ran a stop sign. My wrist hurts from the air bag, my chest hurts from the seat belt, and my head hurts from hitting the window. Thank God there was no blood or I would have freaked out more. I started crying hysterically and freaking out. 2 windows broke and glass went flying into my hair. After the cops came and we got out of the vehicle, we called our boss Ray. He came and got us and took us to the ER. I was still crying and freaking out so I don't even know what went on there. All I know is that I have a follow up appointment this week. Now I know its my coworkers fault so I don't want to get mean about it, but why wasn't she paying closer attention to her surroundings. I was looking in our book for the directions when we were driving. Anywho, I am just glad that her and I both alright. My pain comes and goes in my wrist. My head is a constant throb but I can get used to that. I was hesitant to tell my parents at first since it happened the day before they left for Mexico. But I called my dad first and he was relieved that it didn't happen in my car. Then he told me I need to rest a lot. Then he brought up getting a lawyer. We will see about that. My ma called me later that day to make sure I was ok and asked if they should cancel their vacation. Of course I said hell no. I wasn't going to let my deal get in the way of their long awaited vacation. I just cant believe that it took 22 years to get the shit scared out of me and honestly, see my life flash by. It was just weird. I am sure everything will be fine and workers comp will take care of it all.
Anyway, the kitty is doing great. He really loves to cuddle with Loren in the rocker. It is so cute! And Buddy and him play together all the time. Bubba just lays in his "room" and watches everything happen. I am so glad that we saved him! And he is going to have so much fun at my parents house! He will be able to explore their 3 level home and the nooks and crannies! Dad has wanted another cat since Loren jinxed the last one and it got ran over. That was pretty weird; calling my parents while they are in Kansas for a wedding and informing them that I found their cat dead on the Highway 15 exit ramp. OOPS! Guess I should have watched her a little bit closer huh?!
